Welcome to the CPAL site

Consulting Pupils on the Assessment of their Learning (CPAL) is an ESRC/TLRP funded project and is based at the School of Education, Queen's University Belfast. It is a new and exciting project that aims to involve pupils in all stages of the research process.

CPAL seeks to understand the possibilities, processes and consequences of pupils in primary and post-primary schools participating more fully in identifying and assessing their own learning.

CPAL comprises three interrelated studies:
